Negative Soft Skills

April 2nd, 2008 by mas | Filed under Innovation & Technology.

Thanks to everyone thats contributed and made suggestions towards the Personal Development Reports idea that I’m taking along to the Social Innovation Camp this weekend in the hope that some people there will help to make the idea a reality.

In between work stuff I’ve been trying to pull thoughts together so that I can go along with a nice clear brief. Unfortunately somehow losing most of the work I’d managed today I need to start all over so in between frustration and brain overload I’ve just wasted a bit of time redoing the soft skills drawn up so far - this time though I’ve redone them as ‘negative soft skills’ - just for fun so don’t worry that we’ll be incorporating these into the system (although it is a little tempting!). Heres the list….

Communication Team Working Organisational Leadership
ignoring
shouting
Talking over others
Not replying to emails
using ‘text talk’ that nobody understands
Using ’street language’ that nobody understands
Only giving an opinion when you can be ‘bothered’
Making yourself look good at the expense of others
Being critical
Humiliating others
Bragging
Sod the others I’ll do it myself
Everyone else is crap
Why bother I’ll wait until I’m told!
Turning up if I feel like it
Bullying
Making sure everyone does it my way
Look just do it or do one!
Willingness to Learn Attitude Concern for Others Responsibility
I know it all already
Other people are generally stupid
I don’t need to learn - whats the point?!
Its a waste of time
Rude
Big Headed
Stubborn
I hate ‘outsiders’
I can’t be bothered - you do it!
Its not my job
Thats their problem It wasn’t me!

Feel free to suggest your own!

Right back to redoing that work!………
