Bournville Village Trust, Time Bank Residential - Volunteer Training 07

The groups below are from different areas around Birmingham and are all participating in Bournville Village Trusts, Time Bank programme. The programme offers all volunteers involved the opportunity to build up credits for their hours spent volunteering, for example 1 hour = 1 credit. These credits can then be used to further their own skills, for example taking driving lessons or specific training courses etc.

Below are some pictures of what the volunteers discussed over the course. One of the main issues for most of the groups, was that there is nothing to do in their areas, as well as graffiti, litter and drugs. Some of the groups will be working as a group and running events like litter picks and football coaching for their areas. But most of the volunteers will be working individually on things like, running dance classes, teaching sports and helping out at youth clubs, to earn their credits.
